Hi,

Following some issues trying to replace a "broken" usb [thread here] I cleared the errors using zpool clear and ran a scrub to make sure there weren't any issues before I
upgraded to 11.2-U5.

Current zpool status freenas-boot is, and was, before attempt to upgrade to 11.2-U5:
Code:
  pool: freenas-boot
 state: ONLINE
  scan: scrub repaired 0 in 0 days 00:10:31 with 0 errors on Fri Jun 28 20:44:30 2019
config:

    NAME        STATE     READ WRITE CKSUM
    freenas-boot  ONLINE       0     0     0
      mirror-0  ONLINE       0     0     0
        da9p2   ONLINE       0     0     0
        da8p2   ONLINE       0     0     0

errors: No known data errors

I attempted to the upgrade to 11.2-U5 from 11.1-U7. The updated downloaded all the files and paused at the ChangeLog.txt file. After waiting a while I closed the web browser, intending to come back. When I came back and logged in, no update process or update. That got me a little puzzled.

11.2-U5 did exist in the boot environment but I was getting reminders to update to 11.2-U5.

I ran a Verify Install the install [11.1-U7 currently running as I'm nervous to reboot at the moment] and got a whole bunch of inconsistency errors. Text file attached.

Anyone with any guidance and advice? I was unable to delete or rename the created 11.2-U5 boot environment.
Was the Verify Install done against the 11.1-U7 or 11.2-U5 boot environment? Am I safe to reboot into 11.2-U5? Have I messed my 11.1-U7 or 11.2-U5 boot environments?

Was able to resolve this as follows:
  1. Installed 11.2-U5 installation onto a CD-ROM disc;
  2. Using my study computer, installed 11.2-U5 onto a USB drive;
  3. Shut down the FN system, removed the existing USB drives, and put in the new 11.2-U5 drive.
  4. Booted
  5. Uploaded saved config file and allowed the system to do its reboot thing
