There's nothing to fix. You can either upgrade your pool or uncheck the alert to ignore the warning. That section of the Guide explains the possible caveats to upgrading your pool.

Not being as smart as you I could not find the information in the User Guide. The search does not work. A simple direction of where to find the answer might help.

If you do, you will be able to use the new feature flags. It's mentioned in the link I provided.

The skein and sha512 hash algorithms for checksum and dedup could be used in upgraded pools, at least theoretically. AFAIK the usage of these feature is not supported in the FreeNAS 11 GUI as of now (-U3).
