Hello Community,
Does FreeNAS support Suspend-To-RAM (S3) mode? I have only found this, but it was closed without a comment.
the full story:
I am currently thinking about replacing my Ubuntu fileserver with FreeNAS. Since energy is expensive in europe and i only need NAS service for a few hours after work, i have currenlty configured the Ubunutu Box so that it will enter Suspend-To-RAM when it's idle for a hour (idle means, no more SMB connections from clients, which is the case when i go to bed and have shut down my computer, HTPC, etc.). The box can then be awaken again by WOL.
Suspend to Disk (S4) is not an option because i use encrypted disks.
Is this possible with FreeNAS or do i have to stick with my Ubuntu server?
Thanks for reading.
