Successfully joined FreeNAS to my ad domain, but now none of the users are valid

i was able to link FreeNAS to my AD domain by following this https://forums.freenas.org/index.ph...directory-folder-file-user-permissions.20610/
At first it was working. I could add domain users and permissions worked fine, but I had to restart it and now it won't let me add any domain users.
When I type in my domain users name "domain\user.name" I get an error the user domain\user.name is not valid.

Were you able to resolve this? If not, we'll need more information. Which build version of FreeNAS (from System -> Information). Any errors in /var/log/messages when you try to add a domain user?
