Hey FreeNAS Community,

I am currently testing FreeNAS with my AD.
My NAS joined the domain successfully. (wbinfo worked just fine)
When I go to the permissions tab I can see the domain users if I type in their name. (Not listed in the user folder, but I can live with that... Or is there an other solution?)
My real problem is that I can only access the NAS from a workstation that has joined the domain, logged in as the domain user I set permissions for.
When I try accessing the NAS from a workstation that is not in the domain, I can see the share und the volume. But I can't access it.

May someone help me?

Sincerely

L

It sounds like a permissions issue. Have you configured the permissions for that share (generally best done from a Windows Workstation) to allow "Everyone" to have access (read/write as is appropriate for your use)?

Ahh, misunderstood that.

Are these workstations Windows? If so, you'll probably need to manually force Windows to connect via those particular credentials. The easiest way is to mount a network drive. Make sure to use <Domain>\<User Name> to connect.
