Successful installation to virtual box but???

To be clear, this is just for me to learn and will not do any backup. just to learn about setup and jails.

I have installed 9.3 to VB and get a successful install. During the setup it ask for a password but not user name. When I use the supplied IP address it takes me to the screen. It ask for user name and password. Password is admin for testing but I have no idea username. I gave tried leaving it blank, admin, my name....everything I can think of. Did I miss something.

I am connecting on my laptop through VB and using a bridged Nat. I even tried my router passwords and username.

The username is always root. That's why the installer prompted you to "Enter your root password".
