Hello,
I have a dataset/pool with 5 Raid-Z disks and a spare. I ‘think’ the spare started its life a ‘AVAIL' in the GUI. It does show ‘AVAIL’ in the shell. During the population of the dataset/pool and small transient issue occurred. A scrub was able to clean up the issue, then a clear reset the counters, however, even after a perfect recovery the spare remains ‘ONLINE’, (in the GUI, but as mentioned above it shows ‘AVAIL’ in the shell) rather than reverting to be a true ‘spare’.
The data appears to be being written to original 5 drives as expected (as the I/O report shows no writing to the spare drive). How can I get the ‘spare’ drive back to AVAIL (in the GUI) rather than being ONLINE which is not match the status of the zpool command in the shell?
Thanks
