SMB permissions

Hello.
Is there any difference how a net drive is accessed through ://ip/share and //hostname/share? Im having some trouble with windows acl, inheritance not working, owner of parent folder disappears on files and folders newly created by some other user, even the permission should be inherited.
Anyone had this behavior in 9.3 ?
Any test to suggest how to define the real problem by reproducing?

9.3 is a very old version. Are you able to update to 9.10 or 11 to see if the issue persists?

In that case, please update to U2 to see if that resolves the issue. If it does not, post your smb4.conf.
