SMART Temperature Notification Emails

Hi there,

could you already solve the issue? I don't get any smart reports from my FreeNAS, too. I don't know really why, because all the other mail reports working fine.

Same problem. No email coming from the SMART service. Using 11.1-U3. Is this still a know bug or a config problem?

I got one on -U3 the other day, so they're not completely broken.

Yeah, just got some too. Very unpredictable when and if it will send them, though.

This is quite an old thread originally, but since people have already posted, I might as well.

I haven't been getting SMART emails since Feb 8th. I know there is a bug associated with this issue, but why would a working feature just stop working when I haven't updated or upgraded anything since it used to work?

That's what I fail to understand.


I am just going to install @Bidule0hm's scripts and call it a day.

i'm recently set up freenas 11.1-U4 and i'm not getting smart temp emails either. to try to get it to send emails, i used these settings.

• check interval = 1
• power mode = never
• difference = 0
• informational = 0
• critical = 1
• email = root@hostname.local

root test emails works fine.
