Has there been any development on a SiliconDust DVR Plugin? Looks like it'll be a great application once SiliconDust gets the bugs worked out. I just happened to find the FreeBSD download today.

SiliconDust has only automated the installation for Linux based NASs and that has to be done from a Windows PC. I doubt that we'll see a plugin from SiliconDust in the foreseeable future as their limited resources are directed towards getting the first release of the client recording additions and the DVR engine finished.

On the other hand the DVR backend has a very simple interface so writing a plugin or creating a binary port should be pretty simple for someone who knows what they're doing, or it would make a good project for someone who wants to learn how. I've written a simple rc.d script [1] (my first), but I haven't tested it yet.
