Finally ( I think !) starting to get to grips with FreeNAS, however, I have a question regarding sharing the same directory/folder using both CIFS and NFS.
I have had this working previously using CentOS and was fairly easy to get working, however, FreeNAS does not (to me anyway) seem to be as flexible when wanting to make changes to the config files directly on the file system.
Reason for wanting to do this ??
I have a MythTV box running in one of the rooms and I stream music and videos to it (via NFS) but also have Windows machines around the house that need to access these folders as well (CIFS).
I have got CIFS working OK, however, NFS ? bit a black-art as far as I can see. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
