Hello all,

Im a noob, and need assistance!

I am running Freenas 9.2 i believe.. and experienced a power failure even though we have very large battery backups. The hardware is supermicro storage, not sure the exact model but can locate it if needed, the volumes are raided with raid controller from supermicro (I understand this is not recommended and will change asap) into virtual 2 separate virtual drives.

After the power outage the server came back up or never went down unsure? because the server was still on and up at the management screen, but my client machines could not mount the ISCSI volumes.

So I attempted a reboot from the console and received error messages that say:
istgt_iscsi.c:6882:istgt_stop_conns: error write () failed. message repeated 333 times
shutdown terminated going to single user

HELP!

Thank you all in advance.

Problem solved kind of, powered the server off, located a couple drives on the controller marked as offline, enabling the offline drives has restored the virtual disks and the system is back online. Back ups to be completed, and a reconfiguration of the system to CyberJocks recommendations to follow asap!
