Hello,

What do I select for schedule scrub if I want my drive scrubbed every Sunday at 2:23 am?

The fields that I understand:
Enabled: yes
Day of week: Sunday
Month: jan,feb,mar,apr,may,jun,jul,aug,sep,nov,oct,dec
Hour: 02
Minute: 23

The fields that I do not understand:
Day of month: [I already specified that I want to to run on Sunday. So what do I select here?]
Threshold days: [I already specified that I want to run every Sunday. So what do I put here?]

Thank you,

Chris

For both of those, you probably want to select "1". You don't care what day of the month it is, and threshold won't come in to play because you're already restricting it to Sundays.

Threshold days is useful if you want to do something like schedule a scrub every two weeks. You can select DoW: Sunday and Threshold:13. Seeing that DoM says the slider will translate to "every N days", it sounds like every two weeks could be achieved by setting DoM:14.

I think some of the fields override others and some just restrict others. The example in the wiki shows that every day and month are selected, but Sunday is selected, as is threshold:35. That sounds to me like the scrub won't always be the first Sunday of the month and you'll occassionaly miss a month. Scrub on:
2013/12/01
2014/01/05
2014/02/09
2014/03/16
2014/04/20
2014/05/25
2014/06/29
2014/08/03
That's technically what was requested, but the schedule might be better written by selecting DoM:1,2,3,4,5,6,7; DoW:Sunday; Threshold:1.

Thinking about this, I think my schedule has every DoM selected, DoW:Saturday, and Threshold:13. I could probably just select DoM:1,2,3,4,5,6,7,15,16,17,18,19,20,21 and Threshold:1. Then I wouldn't get the "threshold not exceeded" email that is going away in 9.2.1 (end result is it doesn't matter).

Anyway, I think you just want to set both to "1".
