Upgraded to 9.2.1.6-RELEASE tonight, and getting some errors with Samba. I've seen some of these errors reported under bugs.* or on these forums attributes to either bad hardware or running a mac. I don't think it has to do with either, considering I'm not running a mac and my hardware is fine.

Errors that I think are important are in bold, winbind sidmap error... problems with keytab. My chosen NetBIOS hostname is "NAS" when you see it in the winbind sidmap error.

No, no keytab file is being used and "use keytab" is unchecked. I have simply using a domain admin user/pass since it's only my home environment.

Just for giggles, I implemented the keytab file... so that error went away... and then the other thing I had checked, which I didn't realize was UNIX extensions in the Directory Services tag, which I don't have setup.. Once I disabled this and implemented the keytab, I was able to access my shares. Thanks.

There is no mention within the changelog about requiring the use of the keytab (or maybe I missed it?). I tried unselecting "use keytab" to back to using the admin password, and it started working again too. I don't know what was causing the confusion. I haven't tried completely deleting the keytab user nor the computer entry to start over, but it seems something is amiss with a non-keytab setup, at least initially. Thanks again.
