RSYNC from FREENAS to QNAP - deletes do not update

Hi,

I have set up a local rsync from FreeNAS to a QNAP TS-212P. The FreeNAS box is a C2750D4i Avoton, so plenty of horsepower. A few issues I have noticed:

1) The deletes do not occur ie: if I delete a couple of dirs on the FreeNAS worth 10GB I expect those dirs to disappear from the QNAP as well? I have ensured that:
- the delete tick box in freeNAS is checked
- I also added --delete to the extra commands text box at the bottom of the rsync task.
- no logs are reported in the log files
- I turned off the recycle bin feature in the QNAP box

2) A little off topic, Its also slow as hell (4mb/s) - lots of posts on the web about this - i even tried turning off compression - still no joy.

Rsync is limited on CPU speed and yes the delete should work. Try testing a simple 1 file example and see what happens.
