Resizing Partition in VM (VNC Issue)

I am attempting to boot a GPARTED ISO in order to change to size of one of my partitions in a VM. I can get the CD to boot and I can see the menu items, but as soon as I choose "GPARTED LIVE" my VNC session is disconnected. It appears that the VM is still running.

I can't reconnect unless I restart the VM. Any ideas as to what may be wrong?

I have to boot via the iso, as I can't resize a mounted partition...

Don't know what the problems is, but using another one of the Linux LiveCD flavours that have gparted might allow you to make progress.

Thanks, I used the Ubuntu install CD and that did the trick.

How did you boot a live CD within your VM? I'm confused
