Hi Everyone. I have been a user of Freenas for several years and my first build with 0.7 is still running without any problems :)
This is my first post ever in the forum as i have still to encounter any "real" issues with Freenas.
I have recently started to phase out some of my old hardware and invested in some upgrades. I do know the proper path to upgrade or replace the
boot drive/s for freenas. I am hower really lazy at the moment and i searched the forum and did not find anyone mention my question.
At the moment my freenas boots from a usb stick and i will continue to do so as i had no real problems with it. I am in the process of replacing my usb
boot drive with a fresh new usb stick (sandisk cruzer Fit) Current setup is running from one usb only. And i thought i could just insert the new one and mirror
it from current usb and boot up the new one and install a second sandisk and do a mirror again. Are there any issues with this? Or must i do a fresh install?
I know an install is pretty fast and easy when exporting the config file. I do however want to keep the downtime at a minimum.
Just to clearify. this is not the one still running 0.7 It is one of my more recent builds with 11.2 alreadey running on it.
