Hello,

Decided to restart my server for the first time in around 300 days.

Now I am greeted by the following message (picture attached)

"gptzfsboot: error 4 lba 7814035040"
"boot halted"

Not really sure what would have caused this , but after some searching it seems to be related to a corrupted install somehow, even though i didnt do any upgrades, just a simple reboot.

So my question is, whats my best course of action here to prevent data loss (around 16 TB of data)

A clean install on new media (try the installed version first?) should allow you to import the pool. If you haven't cot the config saved then once the pool that the system data set was on is imported then you can recover the config from:
If you don't have a backup of the config then it can be found at approx:
root@freenas:~ # ls -al /var/db/system/configs-3bc724bbb18d493585697320a07060e7/FreeNAS-11.2-U5\ \(c129415c52\)/

when the pool is mounted
