I finally committed and bought a X9SCL-F-O. While waiting for it to arrive I have been checking out ram options for the board.. Specifically Kingston brand to get an idea of what prices to expect.. CPU supports 1333/1600..
Looking on Newegg I see 8gb unbuffered sticks at about $100.. I know I need to focus on ubufffered and getting most capacity.. Speeds aren't that important.. I would look to pick up 16gb.. Haven't really looked elsewhere for bundled 16gb - I may look at NCIX later..
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820239370CVF - These are the non intel verified sticks.. Not sure if any advantage at all in buying intel "comaptible/verified"..
There isn't much difference in selection.. I'm not sure if a thermal sensors are necessary or compatible.. Any cheaper options out there brand/source wise?
Thanks,
