Hi everyone! I use freenas 8 installed on ip 192.168.1.1 and a shared CIFS folder named SHARED_FILES. When i type http://192.168.1.1/SHARED_FILES using an explorer (like internet explorer, chrome or firefox) any user can access to files and see or download even eliminated files (how could this be possible), despite i have configured SHARED_FILES with permissions to just one user.

How i could prevent http access?

note: ftp is not enabled

Are you sure FreeNAS is installed on 192.168.1.1? Is this the address you use to access the the web gui for management of FreeNAS?

192.168.1.1 is typically used as the gateway address for a home router. Many of these, allow USB drives to be attached to them and shared out.
