I have a CIFS share on my FreeNAS box. I want the share to be discoverable, but I don't want certain computers to be able to browse the share without the appropriate login. How do I stop the share from being browsable from these computers? The share is either not setup correctly, or the login credentials are still stored on those (Windwos) computers. Is there a way to clear the stored login information to check this isn't the problem?

You can clear the login by unmapping the drive a the windows machine. Controlling access will come down to permissions. How and what type comes down to your setup and needs.

Turn off guest access on all shares this will make it require a password.

Navigate to \\<ip-address>, right-click on share, click on 'properties', and click on 'security' tab. Remove the 'everyone' access control entry.
