Preparing VM System for Upgrade from 11.1 -> 11.2

I had a couple of VMs installed that I was playing with, but since they were just experiments (and I was going to need to reinstall a lot of software), I decided to just nuke everything and try again once I get around to upgrading to 11.2. (I deleted the zvols and the machine definitions in the GUI). Is there anything that I should delete so I don't have junk left over?

How stable will the VM system be going forward? Am I likely to have upgrade issues when I go from 11.2UX -> 11.3 or 12.

Any suggestions/guidance would be much appreciated.

It should be stable and any new functionality should be taken care of during the migration process of the upgrade. In other words, there are no plans to change the underlying technology (bhyve).
