I have had a Sambda 0.7.2 system running for a few years now.recently it failed to boot. I would get a 'Run FSCK manually .' message. and get dropped to the shell on the local terminal.

The old system had two HDD''s : A boot drive and a data drive
If I remove the data drive, the system still will not boot, it gets 'stuck at' Mounting Local File System message.
If the data HDD is left in place it does not get this far...

Have got access back booting via a N4F10 x86 live CD and successfully mounted the Data partition on the original Boot/SWAP/Data HDD,

But the old Data HDD, i can't mount it.

I have SSh'd in to the box after a Live CD boot, and from other threads on here have tried FSCK and gpart to try and discover what the partition is and if it has issues.

I can add this disk on the webgui, , but I can not add the mount point . I just get the dreaded "Error-retry"

Not really sure where to go next.
is this likely to be a corrupt disk issue or a user issue?
