I can't seem to find the correct port forwarding setup that will allow a Windows app running inside VirtualBox to expose its port to the outside world.
The Win7 guest OS says its IP is 10.0.2.15, which was assigned to it by VirtualBox's internal DHCP.
VirtualBox itself (or rather, its jail) is at 192.168.1.192 on my LAN. I can reach that address no problem.
The phpVirtualBox GUI supports port forwarding, so I've set it up to forward 192.168.1.192:2281 to 10.0.2.15:81 (both for TCP and UDP). That *seems* like the right thing to do, but no joy.
My external router (i.e., between my LAN and the outside world) shouldn't be relevant here. I'm just trying to connect one LAN client to another LAN client, albeit one inside a VM.
Any hints, pointers, or suggestions?
