Ooh. I'll have to sign up just to vote! I know 2 people that have a second machine on 24x7 only because Plex doesn't work on FreeBSD :D

Same here setup here. Mac Mini Server for Plex Media Server playing files located on the FreeNAS box.

i signed up to vote :D my buddy just had me install PMS on my laptop and had me stream some movies from his server in DC (im in germany) and it was awesome. crystal clear (he has a good connection) cool GUI. and some cool add ons like trakt works with it....wish it worked with freenas

Voted! I really hope that they build a freebsd version of plex. It would be sooo awesome to add to the freenas pbi base!

I know this is an old thread and there's some community support for PMS on FreeNAS, I'm running an older version of PMS on my FreeNAS as a plugin, would love to have official support though!

There is an official plugin already.. has been for a month or more. As such, I am going to close this thread.
