Plex doesn't display photos correctly

I'm having a problem with my FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201511040813 running Plex 0.9.12.18.1520. I can watch videos on my Samsung TV but when I try to view photos they appear as a small thumbnails. As I scroll thru the pictures they become full size after about 8 pictures. The pictures are 1600 pixels in the largest dimension. Why does it just load the thumbnail and not the full sized picture?
I've post to the plex forum but have gotten no response. I hope someone can point me in the right direction to get this resolved. Thanks.

This would be a 100% plex problem. More than likely it has something to do with how the App for your TV is coded.
