I have installed FreeNAS-11.3-U1 recently and am just learning my way around. I have gotten things up and running and have a share I access from my Macbook. I have been able to use it so far to add, move, and delete files in my home directory. I am connected to the NAS server with the user account I created when setting up FreeNAS. I haven't had any permission issues until today.
I will have 32GB and 64GB SD cards to copy data from periodically and would like to do that from the FreeNAS server rather than using WiFi from my laptop. I plugged a card in today and imported the data to my home folder and it worked, but when I try to delete a file, I get:
"The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items."
If I "Get Info" from the Mac finder, it shows the owner as unknown with read and write permission, Staff and everyone with read only permission. I read one post that said the "Get info" is not reliable.
What is the next step to troubleshoot this?
