Hi i have a little problem,

one harddrive of my raid is degraded.
This is happen after a blackout (now i know its better to use a USV :D) When I switched on the nas, no hard drive was found. And after a restart one of them is degraded...

config:

NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
Raidz DEGRADED 0 0 0
raidz1-0 DEGRADED 0 0 0
gptid/...8... DEGRADED 0 0 179 too many errors
gptid/...2... ONLINE 0 0 0
gptid/...9... ONLINE 0 0 0
gptid/...2... ONLINE 0 0 0

So i dont belive the drive is broken.
Someone a idea how to de "degraded" :D

thanks

What makes you think it's not broken? Drives go degraded when there is a problem with the drive. What is the smart status?

Fill hardware specs and freenas version? Run long tested on them and when providing output like smart status don't truncate it. You left off important information.

Make sure you have smart tests auto running and email notifications setup.

Hi,

from your SMART data I dont think your hard drives has a physical issue. Due to the power loss, you received checksum errors as FN was not able to complete it's write operations.
You can find some more information here:
http://techblog.danielpellarini.com/sysadmin/how-to-deal-with-checksum-errors-in-zfs-freenas/
I would start a scrub and see, if the checksum errors increases. Clear the checksum errors if you would like to.
In all ways, have a FULL-backup accessible.
