After configuring my iSCSI with this known FreeNAS setup iSCSI with ESXi (http://johnkeen.tech/freenas-11-iscsi-esxi-6-5-lab-setup/) on ESXi 6.7. This enables Round Robin and the iSCSI IOPs setting.

I am using a Dell R510 full patched (just patched the system again 4 hours ago), running 64GB of RAM, H200, 14 x 1TB 7200 SAS drives, raidz2 all 14 drives. Also the server has a Intel X520-DA2 10Gbe dual which is connected by fiber to my Dell R810, 128GB RAM, 4 x E7-4830 CPUs, two Intel X520-DA1 10Gbe cards.

The iSCSI on FreeNAS is setup on the two 10Gbe connections which have their own subnet each, then from there the cards are connected by fiber to the R810 cards, which the IPs match each of the subnets.

So...

FN1 192.168.90.100 -> ESXi1 192.168.90.200
FN2 192.168.100.100 -> ESXi2 192.168.100.200

FN# = FreeNAS

I am seeing this error popup which seems to be having an affect on my SAN performance to the point were the server restart and load times are being affected and wonder if there is a way to fix this?

The exact message I keep getting on my FreeNAS server, on the screen of the console window is:

WARNING: 192.168.90.200 (iqn: 1998-01.com.vmware:sv-esxi01-51126532): no ping reply (NOP-Out) after 5 seconds: dropping connection.

Thanks,

Dumb questions to follow:

Move the fibers from FN1 to FN2 does the "no ping reply" follow to 192.168.100.200?

Possibly another device using 192.168.90.200?
