Hi everyone. This last week has been a bit of a learning curve for me with Freenas.
I have managed to install it on a usb drive and create pools etc etc. I have been advised to use an SSD to boot from and hold the op system. As I haven’t done anything with my Freenas I thought I would start again from fresh. I have put the ssd in on a sata port 0 and the bios sees it. Booted up with the Freenas install usb and installed the op system to the ssd. All good so far. Turned machine off, took out the usb so the only drive connected is the ssd. Booted up, bios sees it but then it stops saying no boot up options available.
what have I done wrong please?

I would check the boot order in BIOS. I have seen it get changed by something as simple as removing a USB device that the system was booting from.

Also, your system board may be configured for "legacy" boot but you might have mistakenly chosen UEFI when doing the OS install, or vice versa.
