Hey there, the name's Valandil. For the past year, I've been slowly immersing myself into the world of alternative operating systems. Still reliant on windows though. I've been testing in virtualbox before installing on my spare machine.

I figured I could give FreeNAS a try. So here I am. I've installed in virtualbox, created volumes and datasets and a user. I've tried installing plugins, but that didn't work. The picture is a screenshot of what happens now when I try to connect.

Sadly no, I figure it might have something to do with Virtualbox and having one machine that I do everything on. I mean I an old i386 tower which I have #! installed on and then I have my monstrous i7 laptop w/ Win7. Btwn having a 20+ tabs open in Chrome, N++, cmd, and Virtualbox running FreeNAS, there might not be enough resources for VB to maintain a connection to support FreeNAS. I doubt it, though.

If VB doesn't allow promiscuous mode for its VM's network cards, then plugins won't work.
