I have a current freeNAS system that has a bad memory controller on the mother board and I need to move the disk from that machine to a new one. I have some normal CIFS share I know I will have to recreate on the new system but I also have ISCSI set up on the ZFS. If I export the 2 ZFS and move the disk and reset up the shares and ISCSI will the data in the ISCSI be preserved. That’s basically my question.
Or would it be better to just move the disk and move the configuration file to the new freeNAS. Don’t know the best way to do this.
