I want to start up a small plex server for home use, I was thinking of this build:

CPU+MB ASRock C2750D4I
Ram MicroMemory 1x16GB ECC
Boot drive 16GB usb
HDD WD Red 4TB x2
PSU CX430
Case HAF 915R (I already have this case)
OS FreeNAS (duh)

Maybe the CX430 is too low wattage?
I was thinking about expanding it later, so that's why there's only 2 drives and an OP MoBo/CPU
Let me know what you think!
Any help is much appreciated!

The wattage is sufficient
But i fear that the components are a bit expensive for your storage requirements
Adding drives at a later date on an existing pool is not advisable
And if you want redundancy you'll end up with only 4 Tb of storage
After creating the partition you will be left with about 3.5Tb

Best to describe your plans of upgrade otherwise this hardware is not appealing

I don't want redundancy, otherwise I would've chosen smaller capacities.
Why is is not advisable to add drives later?

You can't add drives to a pool but you can replace them with bigger drives or add a new vdev to the pool without any problem ;)

You don't want redundancy? then why ZFS?

If money is not an issue go for it
But it is possible to buy a full server for les money then you are paying for the motherboard only
I got a Dell T20 for fun
And after cashback it was only 100pounds
Well that sounds like a perfect starting server if you take its limitation into account
You can have only 4 hard drives and have to forck some more money for more ram
And the CPU is a Pentium dual coor at 3Ghz
