Need advice!!! Any Help is Very Appreciated !!!

I have freenas 8.0.2 (8288) on a 64bit system 8gb ddr3 ram and gigabit network.
4 x 1TB 7200rpm drives.

Im attempting to have as much space as possible with 1 drive failure redundancy.

I would like to take advantage to zfs because im sporting the hardware for it.

Basically what i would like to have is at LEAST 3TB with redundancy

im pretty new to this and im doing my best to learn as i go...

I know how raid 0 and 1 work but im not as familiar with the others.

anyone?

Hi Dynamixcore,

Well you are in luck.....if you set your drives up to use "raidz" you will get what you are looking for.
