Hi there,
Useded FreeNAS for a couple of months and now I notice that the new ZFS allow ZIL to dismount which I want to install a SSD for ZIL.
My original hard drive connection on a B75 board:
SATA0 (6Gbps) - HD0
SATA1 (3Gbps) - HD1
SATA2 (3Gbps) - HD2
SATA3 (3Gbps) - HD3
SATA4 (3Gbps) - Nil
Now I want to free SATA0 for SSD. If I move all hard drives to one number down of SATA ports, would FreeNAS recongize the zpool automatically? Or should I export the pool first before move?
Please advise, I am really worried that this would make all my data gone.
sidenote: How could I backup the zpool to external hard drive on the same machine?
Thank you.
