Hello,

Is is OK (in either Core or Scale) to mix different drive models (of the same capatity) in the same pool?
I have 4 WD Red Pros and 4 WD Gold drives, each 10 TB in capacity and wish to make a 8 drive Z2 pool.

Thanks in advance for any advise!

Both should be more-or-less the same speed, so should present no noticeable issue, but be aware that if the gold drives do outperform the red pro, then you'll only get the performance equivalent to the red pro.

Other than a potential to leave (a little) performance on the table, no issues.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply. That's great! I should have added that my priority is data integrity and reliability as a whole, performance is less important for my use case. Thanks again!
