Missing preferences.xml

I manually installed Plex in a jail that I made so I could custom name my server.

But when I went to edit the preferences.xml so I could enable a different type of Album sorting I was unable to find the file.

I've read that it's located here:

"/usr/pbi/plexmediaserver-amd64/plexdata/Plex Media Server"

But I have nothing beyond:

/usr/pbi/

if you manually installed it you aren't using a PBI. it would probably be under /usr/local/
