Hello guys,

Similar to https://www.truenas.com/community/t...fed0000edff48-timeout-after-31-seconds.73311/ I have the some Problem on my LSI RaidController card when adding it to my NAS.

MY Specs:
CPU: AMD A10 7800 (old AMD APU from 2014 but the with hardware encoding on the iGPU ist perfect for my little PlexServer)
MB: ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+
RAM: 2x 8GB 1600 DDR3
SDD: 2x 128GB SATA (BOOT-Drive im Mirror)
HHDs: 3x 8TB in RAIDZ1 (all CMR-Drives from Toshiba)
RAID-Controller: LSI MegaRAID SAS 9260DE-8i / PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0073

When I Connect the RAID Controller to my system (PCIE-30. 16x-slot) I get the following error codes spammed during start-up and the start-up is getting stuck at this step.
Code:
mfi0: COMMAND 0xfffffe000d6aa990 TIMEOUT AFTER 30 SECONDS
mfi0: COMMAND 0xfffffe000d6aaa18 TIMEOUT AFTER 30 SECONDS
mfi0: COMMAND 0xfffffe000d6aa990 TIMEOUT AFTER 60 SECONDS
mfi0: COMMAND 0xfffffe000d6aaa18 TIMEOUT AFTER 60 SECONDS
mfi0: COMMAND 0xfffffe000d6aa990 TIMEOUT AFTER 90 SECONDS
mfi0: COMMAND 0xfffffe000d6aaa18 TIMEOUT AFTER 90 SECONDS
mfi0: COMMAND 0xfffffe000d6aa990 TIMEOUT AFTER 120 SECONDS
mfi0: COMMAND 0xfffffe000d6aaa18 TIMEOUT AFTER 120 SECONDS
....

It just keeps adding +30s to those messages.

There are no drives connected to RDI controller (yet). But when i connect 2 drive for testing purpose all that's changing is a 3rd COMMAND that gets timeout.

What am I doing wrong?

I already cleared all the configuration from the raid controller.

Not technically the problem, but you need to read this:

Thank you for your response that's mostly the answer I was looking for, but I have still one more Question:
Where Do I get IT-Firmware for my MegaRAID SAS 9260DE-8i from?

I can only see one Firmware download on: https://www.broadcom.com/support/kn...-4i---9260-8i---9260de-8i---9261-8i-downloads and no mentioning if its IT or IR Firmware.

Flashing it should not be the Problem, as I have MegaCLI already installed on my Win10 Main-PC and used that to default the card back to factory settings.
