output from upsc ups@localhost below.

I'm getting regular (every couple of days), emails sent reporting LOWBATT but upon inspection, the UPS is fine.

I've tested the UPS and reporting, (plugged freenas into live mains, and drew down the UPS battery to test the shutdown was working.)

Ideas?

I get the same since upping the load. I have my NAS, 4 port switch, router, modem and gaming PC all connected now. Gone from drawing 50 or so watts to 200-480w. Max of the UPS is 540, need another really for PC but we have some wiring issues we're trying to pinpoint in the house so power is dodgy..

So is it incorrectly sending LOWBATT when really it's some sort of near max load error? I get them when playing a game or otherwise causing high load. When both the NAS and gaming system are idle all is well.

Sorry to dig up old post, found this from search.

what brand/model is the UPS? How old is the UPS? Perhaps the battery is slowly flaking out. Maybe try putting a steady, relatively known load on the UPS and see how long it runs on the battery. If it runs out of juice earlier than expected try replacing the battery.

In my signature, CyberPower CP900EPFCLCD. Only 4 months old. I'll test the battery shortly and see how it lasts, thanks.

Also be sure to check the firmware is current. I've seen strange error reporting with early version firmwares on various UPS's over the years.
