Hey everyone. I'm planing to play with some external SAS enclosures and need a low profile dual port SAS2 card. I know of the Dell Perc H200-E but would like to see what others have used and may recommend.

If your wondering why it need to be low profile, it's going in a pair of Dell C6100 servers. It a 2U chassis with four server slots so there's not much room! Also low power is a plus!

LSI SAS9207-8e would be another choice.

I have one LSI 9200-8e, similar to the H200-E, 9207-8e is PCIe 3.0, so preferable if your board/CPU can take advantage of that.

second the 9207-8e. Frankly I believe all LSI cards with 8 ports are low profile. Only when you go to 16 ports like 9300 16e you have full height.

If you get a new one, the 9207-8e comes with low and high profile brackets. The replacement brackets can be had on eBay fairly cheaply if you have one with the wrong form factor. Most of them come from China, so you do have to be patient on the shipping. I have done this myself a couple times.
