Hi All,
I'm trying to track down a random reboot issue, but having trouble finding any information in any of the log files I've checked.
Because they get reset every time it reboots of course.
Does anyone has any suggestions on how to either,
1) Setup the logs on my FreeNAS box so they stay/archive with a reboot or
2) push all the messages/logs to a log server.
- I've tried to setup a syslog server and have it log to that with no luck.
- I've tried setting the System Dataset to my main pool and checked the syslog box, with no luck. It doesn't seem to do anything.
System -> System Dataset
System Dataset Pool = NASData (main pool)
Syslog (checked)
- And as far as I can tell, newsyslog is not running.
I'm running 11.3, but the reboots were happening with 11.2U7 as well.
8GB of memory.
3 x 1TB HDDs in a RAID-z set
Intel i3
