I DO have a few backups over the last few months of my geli.key and the config...

Last night I decided to make another backup and then I thought, I don't know the passphrase to my encrypted disks... I'll just reset it again and make a backup. So I did. Like I have before. There was an error message that showed up at the top of the screen, but disappeared before I could read the whole thing. I restarted. Now the volume is LOCKED, and when trying to unlock, it says "Volume Failed Unlock".

I tried to detach the volume then reattach but I just kept getting errors when trying to decrypt the disk (yes, I tried different backup keys). And it would only show 3 of the 8 disks in THAT list (but all my disks are visible via the volume manager and via "Import Disks"). Also, in that decrypt disk process (Step 2 of 3), do I need to enter / attach the geli.key AND type the passphrase? or is it ONE or the OTHER???

I then did a restore to my working config last night so my volume is attached, but LOCKED.

Not sure what to do next.

I don't know, but I"m thinking that some of my disks are encrypted with one key and some another...

I'm new to this, so I might need exact instructions... but it shows this:
And i have attached the messages file.
It looks like the file "turned over". How would I find the correct one from two nights ago or yesterday morning?

Also, I'm at a point where I "think" I need to decrypt these disks (possibly using a different machine). How can this be done?
I have been using geli attach -k /mnt/565.key ada8p2 and it seemed to work on 3 of the disks (the three visible disks 6, 7, & 8 that show up in step 2 of the import volume process), but I have a feeling that it doesn't actually decrypt the disk, i'm thinking it just temporarily unlocks it.
How can I fully decrypt the disks using another machine and SHOULD I even try that?
