LDAP Server SLAPD does not exist

Attempting to create a real SMB solution box with FreeNAS. Love the RAIDZ, Jails conecpt and core features.
Since Directory services only includes Client side, is there a port, Jail, or PBI that will get SLAPD to function?
Fluent with CentOS and compiled from source, but pukes on plymouth errors at run time and will not function.
Fluent with UNIX and standard jail is jammed on BerkleyBDB/HDB issues. Why doesn't Host OS have a LDAP Client and Server included in FreeNAS itself. Will see what the Virtual BOX PBI can offer to solve this.

Any suggestions or pkg code workarounds appreciated.

Virtual Box template allows pkg download of openldap-server and appears to run.
Still testing and openldap-server is missing schema for samba, will get it installed and see what breaks.
