iTunes and backup

Hi, I am new to the forum and hope this question has not been asked before. I looked and didn't see an answer. My current iTunes library is stored on a 2 TB thunderbolt raid hooked to my iMac. I want to setup FreeNAS on an HP Proliant Server (Gen 7) and I wanted to know if it was possible to copy to copy my iTunes library to it but still use my thunderbolt drive and the FreeNAS to access the library? I don't want to use homesharing on iTunes but I don't know how hard it would be to keep the 2 locations synced when changes were made to thunderbolt drive.

Where's the difficulty? Keep both locations in sync with your favorite sync tool.

I have been using SyncBack Free for years. Give it a try.

I think that is windows only. I am using os 10 Mavericks.
