what am I doing wrong?
I understand that a new hypervisor mechanism has been added, but it does not work as easily and simply as the old one. With the old system of the Jail there were no such problems.
The mechanism from the GUI does not work with any test jail

Using iocage. That's why the old UI is not working. But you might know that as your managing iocage from CLI anyway. Also jails are not run by a hypervisor, its kernel based OS virtualization hence why you cant run Windows in a jail. Linux only kind of work due to FreeBSDs linux compatibility module.

As for your networking issues, have you updated FreeNAS since you setup the iocage jails? each update has broken things.
