Not unless you want to waste a perfectly good or potentially bad hard drive for only 2GB. If you read the FAQ it explains why you can't use the whole disk. The OS doesn't run from the USB stick, it gets loaded into 3 RAMdisks that total about 81MB. The only thing that gets written to the flash disk is mostly log files and the configuration database more or less. Writes are kept to a minimum, and if you back up your settings from the GUI, if the USB stick dies, you just reload the settings and off you go again...
