I plan to rebuild my FreeNAS server and see that I can import my pool instead of building another server and transferring the data over.
What are the pitfalls?
Is it better to transfer it to a new server or is importing relatively safe?
What about drive controllers? Since this will be a new mainboard and new controllers will it still be able to read the pool. It's not encrypted.
It'll be the same version of FreeNAS on both so the ZFS version should match.
