Sorry for the link, it wouldn't let me format the table correctly

Ok so these are the parts that I chose after reading through kind of every post in here.

Here is a list of what I want to give you an idea of where i was headed:
  • I am builing this for a data/media server and backup for my pcs.
  • I don't really need a fast CPU since it will stream movies and data in day and backup my things/download things at night.
  • Although I want to host a local copy of newznab+ which is a open source indexer of usenet.
  • I am going to do RAIDZ2
  • I am looking for best longevity > storage > performance (in that order)
  • I don't want it to break in 2 years
  • I want expendability (20 drives total with expension cases)

Quick questions:
1- Which build would last longer/be more powerful with 20 drives attached?
2- How long will this last 24/7?
3- Is there anyway I can save money? (i'm in canada)
4- Do you think I went too deep(with ecc) for my use-case?
5- please guide me if I missed anything

Hi supercouille,

I don't see anything wrong, but why the X9SCA board? Do you need the PCI slots?

For $20.00 less you can get an X9SCL-F and get IPMI included.
