How to trigger Active Directory update?

I am attempting to set up FreeNAS with Active Directory. My one concern is that when I update a user in the domain controller, it appears to take a few hours for it to show up in FreeNAS. Pressing the Rebuild LDAP / AD Cache button does not appear to make any difference. How would I speed this process up? If I add a user, I need FreeNAS to add them fairly quickly.

Which version of FreeNAS?

I never did find a solution. I upgraded to the latest 9.3 hoping that would make the Rebuild Cache button work. I had read that it would on a post here. It looks like it still doesn't work though. I'm wondering if I need to set up a Kerberos keytab, but I'm not sure.

Correction, pressing 'Rebuild Cache' and the pressing 'Save' appears to trigger an update.
