how to setup multiple user with different permits?

Hi,
I've got a problem.
I have to set-up a nas with the following configuration:

share A limited to group A
share B-C-D-E-F limited to group B
share G & H public.

The shares are for windows.
This is what I've tried and didn't work.
Set up groups
set up one user per group, with home folder set to A and B respectively
Set up shares, activate cifs and all.
I don't know why, only the user created first can log at all.

Wipe volume, start again.
Set up groups
set up one user per group
Set up volume, set up ZFS datasets, setting at each dataset the planned user and group owner.
Still only the user created first can log a t all.

What I'm missing?
